City and country living differ in many ways. For those who have grown up in the country or had the pleasure of living in it for some time will always be attracted to the year round garden full of scents, fragrances and sounds. As Pascoli said, 'To enjoy the beauty of nature and what surrounds us, we need to look at it with child's eyes, and only in this way are we able to taste the true essence.' I have lived many extra- ordinary moments throughout my childhood in the country and it is now with great pleasure that I would like to share with you the plea- sures and emotions that arise from simple daily country living on a gastronomical and cultural itinerary. * Katia Calandra *
